Scott Gasser of Billings claimed the title in a challenge match by defeating Ken Carcich of Sheridan, Wyo. by a score of 238-210. Carcich forced the second match by winning the first 213-174. With the win, Gasser took home $225, while Carcich pocketed $200 for his efforts. The high game was posted by Stu Summers with a 269 game in qualifying. John Lafko of Columbus was the high qualifier with an 887 for 4 games.

Scott Gasser of Billings defeated Kurt Davey of Red Lodge in the championship match by a score of 188-173. With the win, Gasser took home $200 while Davey took home $190 for his efforts. Curt Macha of Sheridan Wyo. came back through the losers bracket to defeat John Whitaker of Roundup in challenge championship match by a score of 247 to 182. Macha forced the second match by winning the first championship match by a score of 265 to 206. With the win, Macha took home $275 while Whitaker took home $235. The high score posted during the day came in match play competition with Keith Loran of Billings rolling a 266 game. The high qualifier was Scott Gasser of Billings with a 952 for 4 games.
